1.
TAIVO is a working group consisting of different organisations, communities and individuals. Our actions are based on autonomy, dignity and freedom. We strive for a society free from capitalism and other forms of oppression. We respect each other’s convictions, while collectively condemning structures of oppression.
2.
We distribute labour collectively after committing to a task as an organisation. We do not make decisions for others while respecting the autonomy and freedom of everyone to participate or not to participate.
3.
We take on responsibilities according to our own resources and avoid piling up duties on individuals. We let others know if we are unable to carry out agreed tasks. We ask for help and advice when we need it.
4.
We take care of each other. We recognise and appreciate each other’s work and our joint efforts. We strive to illuminate and share amongst ourselves labour in all forms, including emotional and social labour, and practical organisational work.
5.
We involve new people by keeping our organisational structures transparent. We invite everyone to take on duties and participate in planning regardless of previous experience. We brief everyone on the comradely space principles and our other practices. We evaluate our actions and principles and change them if needed.
6.
We encourage constructive discussion and critique, and the clashing of different ideas and convictions. We encourage expressing and addressing disagreement and grievances. We give room for mistakes, questions and questioning. We focus our criticism on actions and words, not individuals.
7.
We do not define anyone’s personal characteristics such as gender, abilities, mother language, country of origin or ideology based on our own assumptions. We approach received criticism with curiosity and are ready to change our own ways of thinking.
8.
We intervene in any cases of harassment, racism, discrimination and bullying. We address conflicts and cases of harassment through discussion or with the Support Group. If necessary, we remove the person from the premises.
